Nuclear Waste and Marine EcosystemsAbstract
Nuclear waste disposal in Japan in 2011 until now has become a big problem, neighboring countries do not accept it because the impact reaches various countries. It is controversial because the wastewater contains tritium, a radioactive substance that cannot be removed by water filtration technology. The purpose of this research is to find out how to manage water contaminated with nuclear waste so that the population and levels of fish in the Pacific Ocean are maintained. Nuclear waste or radioactive waste comes from every process of utilizing nuclear power, both utilization to generate electrical power using nuclear reactors, as well as utilizing radiation for research, industry, or in factories, especially in Nuclear Power Plants (PLTN), especially the recent nuclear disaster in Japan.
